How does the PONY-O work?
PONY-O bendable hair ties are unlike elastics in so many ways, from the way it looks, its construction, the way it’s put in and taken out of the hair, and most importantly, the way PONY-O feels in your hair!
EXACTLY HOW DOES A PONY-O WORK?
Let’s start by talking about the PONY-O's construction.
The PONY-O is made up of two components: a solid, malleable metal core inside that is coated with soft, silky silicone. There’s no elastic anywhere in our design, so the PONY-O doesn’t stretch like every other hair tie on the market. PONY-O bends and shapes to the hair inside; that's why it will hold any hair type. I’ll show you what I mean:

SINCE THERE'S NO ELASTIC IN THE DESIGN, HOW DO YOU PUT A PONY-O IN YOUR HAIR?

Step one: Using only your thumb and pointer finger (not your whole hand), feed your hair through the PONY-O.
Step two: Let go of your ponytail (it feels weird...I know) and hold the PONY-O CLOSE TO YOUR HEAD with both hands.
Step three: Keeping the PONY-O close to your head and using your thumb as a guide, bend one side of the PONY-O down. Repeat on the other side. This is the most important step of all.
To take the PONY-O out of your hair, simply reverse the steps by opening into its full circle shape. No snags, no hair comes out with it!
And the bonus: no creased hair bumps.
This is the right way to use your PONY-O and get the most enjoyment out of our bendable hair tie. If you bend the PONY-O once in the middle, for example, it just won't stay in! As with everything, it can be used the wrong way, and that leads to nothing but frustration and calling us bad names.
