Here’s a compilation of some cute hairstyles you can recreate using the Pony-O and Bun Barz, no hot tools, no hairsprays or mousse:

The Classic High Ponytail

You will never go wrong with this hairstyle. It has been tried and tested for years now and it’s not going anywhere. However, making it stay high is the tricky part but no need to worry about that with the Pony-O! Here’s a step by step guide on how you can achieve high ponytail that will stay perky all day.

  1. Place your index finger and your thumb in the Pony-O.
  2. Pull your hair through the Pony-O, keeping it close to your head.
  3. Squash the Pony-O completely flat.
  4. Using your thumb, individually bend the corners down.

Fohawk Ponytail Braid

Ponytails with braid instantly takes your ponytail to a whole ‘nother level! Braids come in different forms and what you choose to incorporate in your ponytail actually tells what vibe you are diggin’ that day. Fohawk is for girls who want a look that is a mixture between trendy and casual. Recreate this by following these easy steps:

  1. Take a section of your hair from the front top of your head.
  2. Start braiding it adding more hair as you make your way to the back of your head.
  3. Stop braiding upon reaching the desired height of the ponytail.
  4. Pull the hair through the Pony-O.
  5. Completely flatten and squeeze the band.
  6. Individually and sharply bend the sides of the Pony-O to secure your ponytail.

The half up ponytail

Most girls feel best if their hair is down. If you’re one of those but you want to still get your hair out of your face and give people a good look of your pretty face, this is perfect for you! Just follow these steps:

  1. Section your hair from the ears bringing it up at the desired height.
  2. Take your Pony-O and pull your hair through it.
  3. Squash the band flat.
  4. Bend the sides of the Pony-O to secure the hair.

The butterfly ponytail

If you’re all about that soft and elegant look, try the butterfly ponytail. It looks very put together but not too much. Adds a dainty detail to your low ponytail! Here’s a very easy to follow tutorial:

  1. Gather your hair up in ponytail.
  2. Take your Pony-O and pull your hair through it.
  3. Squash the band flat.
  4. Slide the band back. (approximately three fingers from your head)
  5. Press the ends down with your thumbs.
  6. Gently dig a hole in your hair between the head and the band.
  7. Fold the hole open.
  8. Using four fingers, flip the Pony-O up and through the hole first and then pull your hair through afterwards.

Good ‘ol messy bun

Messy buns are very trendy and it looks easier than it actually is. How do you perfect the ’messy’ look? Here’s how:

  1. Start by taking your hair and placing it in between the two bars.
  2. Clamp the bars down at the shortest layer of your hair.
  3. Roll the Bun Bar down towards your face making sure the bar is rolled at least two times.
  4. Leave a little room between your head and the bar then start bending each side in toward each other making some sort of a circle shape.
  5. Firmly squash the Bun Bar to secure it.
  6. To cover the Bun Bar, wrap your hair around to hide it.
  7. If you want more volume, grab the hair and gently tug it out to create a bigger bun.
  8. Pull out sections of hair on the sides of your face and some small hair pieces here and there for the ‘messy’ look.

Romantic bow updo

Radiate major sweetheart vibes with this updo! It’s stunning for formal events and other occasions. It looks very put together but not overdone. Perfect if you’re all about that effortless yet stylish look! Here’s how you can make the bow bun using the Bun Bar:

  1. Place your hair in the center of the Bun Bar close to your head.
  2. Do a figure ‘8’ by wrapping your hair around the Bun Bar.
  3. Fold each side of the bar down and under individually.
  4. Squash in the bars flat
  5. Fan your hair out to cover the bar.

Half fun bun

Did someone ask for a bohemian look? This is it, girlie! It’s a our go-to look for festivals and other fun activities where there will be a lot of picture taking. You can create this super cute ‘do by following these steps:

  1. Separate half of your hair.
  2. Place the hair in the center of the bars one hand on each side of your hair.
  3. Draw the Bun Bar a little less than half way back.
  4. Start rolling the Bun Bar towards your head.
  5. Fold the ends of the bars down into a circle shape.
  6. Squash the bars to make them hold their shape.
  7. Cover the bar with your hair and arrange your ends.

Upside down french braid crown bun

Be a head turner and let people wonder how you achieved this very fab hairstyle. There’s so much texture and details in it everybody will be gushing over it! Here’s how you can make the upside down french braid crown bun using the Bun Bar:

  1. Flip your hair upside down and start braiding your hair into a french braid.
  2. When you reach half the top of your head, stop adding hair into the french braid and continue with a normal braid and secure it with a clear elastic.
  3. Still with your hair upside down, separate the braided hair then take your Bun Bar and clamp the bars down at the shortest layer of your hair.
  4. Start rolling the Bun Bar down towards your face.
  5. Leave a little room between your head and the bar and then bend each side in toward each other.
  6. Squash the Bun Bar to secure it.
  7. Wrap your hair around to cover the bar.
  8. Gently tug out to make the bun bigger.
  9. Take the braided hair and wrap it around the bun.
  10. Tuck the ends of the braided hair under the bun.

Space buns

  2. Working on the first section, take your hair and place it between the two bars
  3. Clamp the bars down at your shortest layer.
  4. Start rolling the Bun Bar down towards your face.
  5. Leave a little room between your head and the bar and then bend each side in toward each other.
  6. Squash the Bun Bar to secure it.
  7. Wrap your hair around to cover the bar.
  8. Repeat on the other side.
